Joe Bonamassa Confirmed For Exclusive Music Live Performance!
There are few young guitarists that can wring a lick from an axe like New York blueser Joe Bonamassa. The most exciting player of his ilk, Joe has been raved over in recent years, and has lately received glowing praise from every corner - from the guitar press to The Times, The Daily Telegraph and The Independent.
So it'll come as no surprise to learn that we're fairly beside ourselves with excitement now that we have Joe confirmed to appear on the Music Live Stage on Saturday 8 November. He'll be bringing his incendiary style to the stage in an evening performance - this will be the only chance to catch him in Birmingham on his 2008 UK tour, so you best book up quickly.
Tickets for Joe's show alone are priced at £20, but why not buy a 'best-of-both-worlds' golden ticket and get in to Music Live and see Joe for just £30? It'll be a day in guitar heaven...

Music Tech Mag Seminars At Sounds Expo
If this is the year you really want to crack the art of mic-ing, mixing and mastering your own music, then the free Music Tech magazine seminars to be held as part of Sounds Expo at Music Live will be right up your alley. Hosted by MT's Mark Cousins (he's mixed albums for BMG Zomba, had works performed by the Royal Phil Orchestra and taught at Confetti In Nottingham, so what he doesn't know isn't worth holding a VU meter to), there will be a total of five seminar sessions a day - some of which will also feature gear from UK distributor Arbiter and contributions from the Association of Professional Recording Services.
Oh, and if you subscribe to Music Tech at Sounds Expo you'll get three copies of the marvellous mag for nowt. Which sounds good already.

JAMES Supports Sounds Expo
No, it's not just James, the Music Live security dude (although he does support Sounds Expo in his own way), but JAMES - the Joint Audio Media Educational Services - who are involved with SE2008. The organisation was formed by the educational arms of the APRS and the Music Producers Guild in 2006, partly to deliver top-notch masterclasses and seminars.
They're well-placed to do just that, because JAMES Working Group is made of up pros including engineers, producers, musos and studio owners who have lived, breathed and survived the music industry for decades.
You can find out more by visiting www.jamesonline.org.uk and for further news on JAMES' involvement with Sounds Expo 2008, sign up to Transmission, our monthly(ish) e:Newsletter.

SOUNDS EXPO AT MUSIC LIVE
If you're a budding producer, engineer, or project-studio obsessed muso, you'll want to get yourself along to Sounds Expo 2008, which is now part of Music Live at the NEC - the UK's largest music - making event.
Sounds Expo has been rolled into Music Live this year, and promises to be a superb showcase of new equipment from the world's biggest hi-tech brands. In addition, the event will feature top-notch free seminars covering production tips to software tricks, all designed to get your music sounding better than ever.
